How to Scan and Remove the new ‘soaksoak’ Malware

WordPress is always under attack making headlines every now and then. A new malware attack called soaksoak is on the loose and has already compromised more than 100,000 WordPress sites according to Sucuri, a website security firm. You will see a browser warning – ‘The Site Ahead Contains Malware’ (see above image) or ‘Visiting this site may harm your computer‘ if your site is affected.

You can watch the below video which will lead you a proper effective way.

Read on even if you have watched the video

There are different ways to do this and different sites and plugins that you can use but I’ll try to keep it as simple as possible.

1. Update WordPress and Plugins
2. Scan for Malware
3. Fix the Malware Affected Files
4. Submit Site Review: Google Webmaster Tool
